Hope you had a great 4th of July!! I enjoyed my staycation with my family and friends.

You know, I was just thinking about how awesome it is to live right here in Las Vegas. Even though we were planning to go to San Diego for the holiday, we ended up staying right here at Green Valley Ranch Hotel Casino. We had a blast!!!

What I really enjoyed about my vacation is that it was affordable, fun and most of all, kid-friendly. We had great accommodations, clean and very well designed. And the resort has even taken pool fun to a whole new level. While adults have the option of chilling in the clear blue water, the kiddos can play in the sand on the beach. Yeah…there’s a sandy beach connected to the pool. My son and his friends looovvedd it! Food service and a very cool bar was also available while we basked in the sun.

Once our day at the beach was done, the kids were able to hang out at Kids Quest, which is a fun, safe and affordable center right there in the casino. They have everything from Xbox to rock climbing, to basketball…all in one space. And, Kids Quest also offers an open food service for the kiddos, too. So, if they get hungry, they can just walk up to the counter and ask for pizza, or mac-and-cheese and many other options. It’s pretty cool.

While the kids had their fun, the adults chilled at a cool restaurant just a couple doors down from Kids Quest. We had appetizers and drinks, without having to cut-up anybody’s food, or accompany our kiddos to the bathroom…they were safe, and we had a chance to relax.

And, of course, the final touch on our great 4th of July weekend was the fireworks. Even though the resort didn’t provide a show for guests, we were blessed enough to have access to a local country club called Dragon Ridge.

The club is nestled right in the middle of the beautiful MacDonald Highlands guard-gated community. Talk about a fantastic party environment…we had a blast!! The property allowed guests to arrive early to stake their claim on a spot on the golf course where the fireworks were set to kick off. Everybody brought blankets and flags and a whole lotta party favors. Food trucks, a well-stocked bar, live music and shuttle service were also provided. It was a very well organized event.

As promised, once the clock struck 9pm…the fireworks went off without a hitch! Organizers provided 20 minutes of non-stop, colorful explosions in the Las Vegas sky. Not only did the kiddos enjoy the show, but I have to admit, the adults were thrilled too. We were, once again, in awe of the city we call home.

We had a great time in our own backyard that we often forget is the entertainment capital of the world.

And once again I’d like to thank 7DayZ LLC, my management company, for making it all possible!
